CPS Energy SAFE Program

Details

CPS Energy awards six high school juniors who are interested in pursuing a college degree in fields related to the energy industry. Students must be at least 16 years of age on June 1 and a junior in high school. A minimum 3.0 GPA and rank in the top 20% of their class is required as well as having an above-average attendance record. Students should be able to demonstrate an interest in seeking a degree applicable to the utility industry and participate in full-time summer employment with CPS Energy after junior and senior years in high school for 10 weeks each summer, as well as attend all activities sponsored by CPS Energy during summer employment. Applicants must reside in a CPS Energy service area.
